Josie was being transported from a kill shelter in Indiana to a rescue in New York when she slipped her collar and ran. This blog details our quest to bring her to safety. You can help! Just post any sightings in the comments section....volunteers will be checking them regularly!

Josie has a fine happy home, NOT in the state of Ohio, I happen to know from some friends of mine that some friends of theirs who were vacationing, found her and took her home and to their vet., She is being treated for slight heartworm, and watched closely for possible infection due to the sutures not being removed before she was transported, That was an unwise decision on the APL's part.I'll not give any names but upon seeing the flyers, I know that the dog you folks call Josie, is better off and happy where she is. Just want you to know, so you can stop worrying.

Josie Josie is a shy shelter dog who does not answer to her name. She is a cream-colored husky/collie mix, 2-3 years old and weighing about 40lbs. If you see her, please do not chase, it will only scare her. Try to draw her to you with food, and leave your sighting in the comments section of this blog. Josie is up to date on all her shots. She has recently been spayed, and still has stitches. There is a reward offered for her safe return. Thank you everyone for your help!!!!!
